Sun River Watershed Group

https://www.sunriverwatershed.org/

The Sun River Watershed Group has been collecting water quality data on the Sun River and its tributaries since 2001 in partnership with long-time volunteer and science teacher Rai Hahn. Their goal is to improve the quality of the water in the Sun River and all tributaries to meet the needs of all beneficial uses established in their ongoing Sun River Water Quality Restoration Plan.

Volunteers

Al Rollo (01/01/2001+)

Al became involved with the Sun River in the early 1990s as a volunteer and then as a paid coordinator. He has worked very hard since then to see major water quality improvements on the Sun River and its tributaries. The Sun River Watershed Group (SRWG) team with Al's assistance has turned around the health of the Sun River.

Rai Hahn (01/01/2004+)

Since around 2004, Rai has been the reason the Sun River Watershed Group (SRWG) has maintained an extensive water quality monitoring program. He has volunteered his time and money every year to make sure we have quality data to track changes in water quality. He has also taught hundreds of youth in monitoring techniques and assisted students in some very detailed science projects. The SRWG would not have this great monitoring program without him.
